The number of grants available for each year will be determined by the amount of available funds together with the donations received at the beginning of the year. The total number of grants will be divided proportionately among the 6 Tsunami affected Districts, namely Trincomalee, Batticaloa, Ampara, Hambantota, Matara and Galle. The value for the grant will be 2000.00 SLR (Sri Lankan Rupees) maximum per child per month. Actual amount of the grant will depend on the prevailing Sri Lankan Bank interest rate for 3-month term Fixed Deposits.

The scholarship recipients will continue to receive the grant till the end of their secondary education i.e. until the time of University Entrance, subject to the performance requirements as detailed under "SUSPENSION AND TERMINATION" clause below.
